A COLUMN OR TWO LOCAL OCCURRENCES IN BRIEF FORM

The first bicycle road race ever held in Menasha was successfully carried out under the auspices of the local club Fourth of July. There were fifteen entries and the event furnished a great deal of excitement. John Grossel won the time prize, covering the route, six and one tenth miles, in 20:55. Albert Schubert won the prize hung up for the one making the finish first. All the wheelmen starting except two covered the course .
