the Company's Notice Signifies to That Effect

The Wisconsin Traction, Light, Heat and Power Company is preparing to remove its rails and discontinue interurban street railway service between Appleton , Menasha and Neenah .

Information to this effect is given in an official notice filed here today by A. K. Ellis, superintendent of the traction company.

In the notice it is pointed out that the city of Menasha should make no plans providing that the traction company will bear a portion of the expense of the proposed new bridges in Neenah and Menasha.

It is further alleged that the twin cities are being provided with adequate transportation through motor bus service and that the traction company will make application to the Wisconsin railroad commission for that body's approval to abandon the railway lines.

The matter will be formally presented to the city council at the monthly meeting tomorrow night.

A similar notice is said to have been served on the city of Neenah today.
