Open Enrollment and Tuition Waiver versus Attendance Area Transfer

Open enrollment allows students to attend in a school district other than the district they reside in. For a list of Frequently Asked Questions including the application timeline and exceptions to the application period: http://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment

A Tuition Waiver allows students to finish the school year (and possibly one additional year) in the district if they have moved out of the district. Please contact the Open Enrollment Coordinator to determine eligiblity and complete the appropriate form(s).

An attendance area transfer is for a MJSD student who wants to attend a different elementary school while remaining as a MJSD resident. Attendance area transfer forms can be requested from any elementary secretary or the district registrar's office.
