Ice is Reported as Being Two Feet Thick in Places Near Brighton Beach

The snow is already scraped from the ice on Lake Winnebago preparatory to laying in the summer supply of ice. Provided there is not too much snow between now and next week R. N. Hine, of the Menasha Ice & Fuel Co., hopes to get busy with the saw next week. The ice house at the foot of Berlin Street are being made ready for the new supply. Most of the ice which supplies Menasha is cut near Brighton Beach and the report is that the ice in that vicinity is at present all the way from a few inches to two feet thick in places, so there will be plenty of ice for next summer.
