Complete, delicious nutritious meals are available at no cost to your student.   These include a complete breakfast, complete lunch and dinner/Super Snack.

Individual components of a meal, such as a milk only, are considered an a la carte purchase and will be charged to your student’s account.

Attention Parents / Guardians

ATTENTION PARENTS:  Use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to make a payment or view your child's lunch account.  Your Parent Portal Activation Key is available from your building secretary if you have never logged in before.

Please make sure your child has sufficient funds to cover any meals, cold lunch milk or any a la carte purchases for the school year!

Payments made online are applied immediately.  Payments put in the "Lunch Money Boxes" at the schools are processed within 24 hours.

School Meal Account Policy

The Menasha Joint School District and the Food Service Director are responsible for accurate and timely collection of funds due related to food service transactions.

Student meal accounts are required to maintain a positive balance if purchasing any a la carte items.

If the meal account balance goes into a negative balance, a phone call and/or email will be generated to all families. Phone calls will continue until a payment has been received.

When student account balances are negative:

• A student may not purchase a la carte items, unless they have money/cash in hand. This includes milk purchase for a cold lunch.
• A payment would need to be made on the account to bring the balance to zero.
• Any positive or negative balance at the end of the school year will carry over to the next school year.
• Any negative balance should be paid prior to the start of the following school year.
• Seniors with a positive balance can request a refund or the balance may be transferred to another student’s account within the family by contacting food service.
• No student may charge on another student’s account.

Modified / Substitution Diets

Schools participating in a Child Nutrition Program are required to make accommodations for children unable to eat school meals because of a disability that restricts their diet when requested by their parent/caregiver.  Chartwells is committed to making reasonable modifications or substitutions for students with disabilities.

However, in order to modify the school meal, schools must have a written Medical Statement on file signed by a licensed medical provider (physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner).  The statement must identify:     

• The child’s disability
• Explanation of how the disability restricts the child’s diet
• The major life activity affected by the disability
• The food(s) to be omitted, texture modifications and recommended substitutions.

Please submit all completed medical statements and diet accommodation requests to your school nurse. We look forward to collaborating with you to provide safe and healthy meals to students with dietary limitations.
