The Menasha Joint School District takes data privacy and security very seriously. MJSD has developed a multi-tier vetting process to approve the use of web services that collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from students. This process aligns with federal and state data privacy laws, as well as MJSD board policies regarding data privacy.
The first step in this process is to ask the service provider to sign the Wisconsin Student Data Privacy Agreement. Web service providers that have agreed to these terms are labeled "Approved" and highlighted in green. These resources are approved for MJSD students whose parents have consented to G Suite for Education and digital tools use.
If a web service provider chooses not to agree to the MJSD Privacy Agreement, the provider’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are vetted by the district. Digital tools that meet the district requirements are highlighted in yellow and labeled "Additional Considerations Necessary." Resources listed in this section have additional considerations and restrictions that must be followed if used by MJSD students. Resources highlighted in red have been vetted by the district and are labeled "Not Approved for Student Use." These tools should not be used by MJSD students.
The digital resources listed on this page reflect digital tools currently approved for student use based on the web service provider's policies regarding the use of student data. Digital resources that do not collect PII may not appear on this list. This list is by no means an exhaustive list of every digital tool that an MJSD student might use during his or her learning experience. This is a living document that may have resources added or removed throughout the academic year.
If you would like to use a digital tool with students that is not on this page, please complete the digital tools request form. This approval process is for digital tools that collect Personally Identifiable Information from students.
