General Session Band Lessons
GRADE 6: BAND BOOT CAMP - PHASE 1 • Work in small groups to learn how to assemble your instrument, how to clean it, and how to make a sound. We will show you how to read a few notes and make sure you have the supplies you need! FEE: $15
8:15-9:30 - Tenor Sax, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Flute
9:30-10:45 - Trombone, Baritone, Tuba
10:45-12:00 - Oboe, Percussion, Horn, Trumpet
GRADES 7 & 8: BAND BOOT CAMP - PHASE 2 • These large group lessons help you improve your playing skills, develop ensemble skills, produce good tone, and build confidence. We play lots of great music and have fun making music together! FEE: $0
12:30-1:30 Percussion
1:30-2:30 BRASS (Trumpets, Horns, Trombones, Baritones, Tubas)
2:30-3:30 WOODWINDS (Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Saxes)
GRADES 9-12: BAND BOOT CAMP - PHASE 3 • Keep your playing chops up over summer! This is a relaxing playing environment where you can work on new music, review pep band music, and learn from each other. High school students will have opportunities to help the middle school students and earn volunteer hours. FEE: $0
